At age 95, Uncle Billy Lou is the oldest Elder in Wellington and he is still a character, a social fulla and enjoys a yarn. He was a gun shearer, travelling around the country following with the work.
He loved to dance; in he fact could tap to a beat. Uncle Billy Lou lived on the Common with his family as a youngster and has very found memories. He now lives with his son Bill Boy and is cared for by him in Wellington.
